Carpenter bees are in their peak of activity with the warm weather and availability of flower pollen. After chewing the large round hole in decks and wooden house trim, it is packed with a series of egg then pollen, egg then pollen and finally capped over so the larva can eat the pollen and pupate into the adult stage. Interesting but annoying little buggers for sure. The best way to treat them is to inject a dust insecticide labeled for carpenter bees into each hole. It is a time consuming way but it works . A liquid spray in the holes or general area around the holes is not very effective. Some folks like to swat at them with a tennis racket , good sport, but also not [carpenterBee01] real effective.Type your paragraph here.
